Paramanand has explained in various ways that Shivaray was extraordinarily intelligent. When he went to meet Afzal Khan, the word Paramanand used to describe him, i.e. 'Analpadhee', has touched my heart and has been engraved on my brain. It is not the case that Shivaray fought Afzal Khan only with his hands, only with his body or only with weapons. He fought him with wisdom. Intellect was the foundation of every battle of body and weapon that he was engaged in. In fact, his lifelong struggle was fundamentally an intellectual struggle. It was just expressed through the body and weapons, that's all. It is only intelligence which is the energy centre of all achievements. It is the mother of all prowesses. It is the intellect only that gives order, direction, control, accuracy and discretion to the tongue, hands, in fact to the entire body and various weapons, and Shivaray had that intellect which was ‘analp' (in abundance)! Today, along with other things, we need to inherit this analp wisdom from him, to fight with wisdom, to imbibe his strategy!
